After being picked up at your hotel, you will travel throught the beautiful Egyptian countryside, and cross the Nile by the Luxor Bridge, which was opened in 1997. Our first stop will be at the Valley of the Kings, where you can visit any 3 of the tombs which are open - the picture above is that of Tausert & Sekhnakt, one of the more beautifully decorated. If you wish to see Tutankhamen's tomb, there will be an additional cost of 100LE for a separate ticket. We then travel to Deir el Bahri, to visit the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut - a wonderful temple in a spectacular setting. Afterwards we visit the Valley of the Queens, to visit 3 tombs there. We finish our tour at the Colossi of Memnon, the huge statues that once adorned the entrance to Amenhotep III's mortuary temple. If you are visiting in the winter months, you will be able to see the ongoing excavations there. We then return to Luxor and leave you at your hotel. |
